Fruit
acid-peelings belong to chemical peelings. In the medical professional
field, peelings are used as a dermatologically invasive method. The aim
is to reach an exfoliation of the epidermis and the dermis in order to
regenerate the skin.
In cosmetic
institutes, an
exfoliation with higher concentrated fruit acids (more than 25%) is not
allowed. Therefore, fruit acids (less than 25%) are used to remove the
upper horny skin layers in order to achieve an improved penetration of
active ingredients into the skin.

When is the good time for a peeling?
Focus
on springtime
Focus on fall
...what about the
summer season?
|
|
|
In
springtime, the human skin shows strong horny skin layers. Because of
the low moisturisation level in the air, staying in heated rooms etc.
the skin dries strongly on the surface. This results in a thicker horny
skin layer. After a peeling, it is important to use moisturising and
protective preparations (e.g. hyaluronic acids etc. )
The
second main focus for a peeling is the begin of fall season. Due to
exposure to sunlight during holidays, the skin surface is especially
stressed. To protect itself from UV radiation, it gains in thickness.
Likewise, after a peeling in fall season, strong moisturising
preparations should be used for after care.
Generally
also a good time for a peeling because the skin is thicker due to
reaction on UV radiation. But bear in mind, that the use of fruity
acids makes the skin more sensitive to UV
– radiation.
Many
people still tend to expose to direct sunlight without protection and
as a result, there is a higher danger of movement of pigment particles.
Therefore, a peeling should not be made during this time of year.

Advantages
/ differences to natural fruit acids
Glycolic Acid is structured as a smaller
molecule in comparison to other fruity acids. It penetrates the skin faster and deeper, which means it is more
aggressive and faster in effect. Because of the way of penetration, the glycolic acid dissolves
horny layers of the skin in volume, therefore acting as literally threedimensional.
This has advantages on
all stronger horny skin. However, with sensitive skin having little
horny skin, Glycolic Acid can not remain as long on
the skin as natural fruit acids.

Glycolic
Peeling 20%
- glycolic acid, unbuffered, pH
1,9
- Acid-product to remove hard
and horny skin following intense sunlight in summer or after the winter
period.
Glycolic
Peeling 50%
- glycolic acid, unbuffered, pH 1,5
- The aim is to achieve a noticeable regeneration effect by abrasion of
the epidermis. In particular, collagen regeneration is positively
affected by this kind of skin peeling.
Glycolic
Peeling 70%
- glycolic acid, unbuffered, pH 1,3
- Applicable to severely aged and horny skin. Can also be used on scar
formation. Pigment spots are noticeably reduced after each application.
When used as deep dermal peeling a longer regeneration time must be
reckoned with. The skin condition subsquently looks noticeably younger.
Ingredients for all glycolic peelings:
Aqua (Water), Glycolic Acid, Hydroxyethylcellulose |
Purifying
Peeling
Removes hard skin and is
effective on acne skin through the combination of Glycolic-, Lactic-
and Salicylic Acid and upon cells in the upper and middle layers of the
epidermis. The active ingredients (Oleanolic acid and Vitamin C) are
absorbed particularly deeply through the acid combination. Oleanic acid
reduces the 5-Alpha-Reductase and controls sebum production. Vitamin C
inhibits the free radicals and improves wound healing. Purifying skin
peel is effective against impurities, removes bacteria and improves the
skin condition.
Active ingredients:
8% Glycolic Acid, 10% Lactic Acid, 2% Salicylic Acid, Oleanolic Acid
and Vitamin C |

Ivory
Skin Peeling
Removes
hard skin and is effective on hyper pigmented skin through the
combination of Glycolic -, Lactic -, and Mandelic Acid and upon cells in
the upper and middle layers of the epidermis.
The
active ingredients like Diacetyl Boldine inhibits the building of
Tyrosinase up to 70%, Dermawhite develops an inhibiting effect against the
residual Tyrosinase and Vitamin C helps in reducing existing
pigmentation. Ivory Skin Peeling has to be repeated within 7-14 days.
Active ingredient:
5 % Glycolic Acid, 5% Lactic Acid, 10% Mandelic Acid, Diacetyl Boldine, Waltheria Indica,
Vitamin C
